Already, seven Ferretti Yachts 580s have been sold.
Ferretti Yachts has taken the old adage "stick with what works" to heart. The Ferretti Yachts 580 is a new addition to the Italian builder's flybridge lineup, which already includes nine other models ranging in length from 50 to 98 feet. The exterior of the 580, as well as six other models in this range, is designed by Filippo Salvetti. Interior design was handled by IdeaeItalia. According to the builder, seven 580s have already been sold, with the first launch scheduled for October. The model is expected to make its public debut at the 2023 Boot Düsseldorf.
There's forward-facing, U-shaped seating on the flybridge, with a wooden dinette aft. There is additional guest seating for four adjacent to the portside helm station. There are two 86-square-foot sun pads in the front.
There is transom seating and a dinette in the cockpit for several guests. Stairs flanking the cockpit lead to the full-beam teak swim platform on the 580.
The 580 is available with two or three belowdecks heads; both layouts have three staterooms. The portside space in the two-head version is reserved for the owner. There's an en suite bathroom and a space that can be used as a study or vanity. The master head replaces the study/vanity in the three-head configuration. A second head to port serves the forepeak stateroom, and the day head to starboard becomes an en suite for the twin-berth stateroom below it.
The 580 is available in two styles: classic and contemporary. According to Ferretti Yachts, the classic look includes walnut wood, dark leather, dark steel, dark-gray and green fabrics, and gray marble. Cooler tones are used in the contemporary aesthetic, such as ivory oak wood, white and blue fabrics, light-gray leather, and white marble.
Twin 900 hp Volvo Penta engines are standard. There is a 1,000 hp option available. Estimated speeds and ranges were not available at the time of publication.
